The BREVE design team has developed, to a customer’s order, an unusual unit of adjustable AC and DC power supplies. The equipment was designed for test work in the manufacture of operating mechanisms for power disconnectors.
The power supply unit allows smooth, accurate and independent adjustment of AC and/or DC voltages on five separate outputs. All outputs are isolated from the mains and from one another, which guarantees safe operation for the operators. It has been fitted with high-grade digital meters, which qualifies the set for research work. The equipment incorporates a number of innovative solutions relating to a significant improvement in setting resolution, in the speed at which the DC output settings can be changed in the downward direction, and in ergonomics.
