SSR - Solid State Relays
SSR (Solid State Relay) relays are used for contactless switching of electrical loads by means of a control signal. The absence of mechanical switching components ensures fast and silent operation as well as high durability, particularly in applications requiring frequent switching.
Features:
- Very high durability: designed for operation under intensive use without loss of technical performance.
- Wide control voltage range: full logic compatibility with low-voltage signals used in OEM systems (from 3–5 VDC) and the industrial PLC automation standard (24 VDC).
- Universal load voltage range: safe and stable operation across a wide range of mains voltages, suitable for standard single-phase loads.
- Completely silent operation: no clicking noise typical of traditional contactors and electromagnetic relays.
- Low control current consumption: allows direct power supply from the transistor outputs of PLC controllers without the need for intermediate relays.
- Built-in optoisolation: high galvanic isolation between the low-voltage control circuit and the power circuit protects the control electronics against voltage surges from the mains side.
Applications:
- Heating systems and temperature control: injection molding machines, heat-sealing machines, industrial furnaces, and any installations requiring frequent switching of heating elements on and off.
- Industrial automation: direct control of actuators, solenoid valves, and other actuating components from the transistor outputs of PLC controllers.
- Packaging and food-service equipment: packaging machines, dosing equipment, and food-service ovens operating in continuous mode.
