Safety isolating transformers provide, in accordance with standard PN-EN61558-2-6, protective separation of the primary and secondary windings. They are intended to supply circuits with a safety extra-low voltage. Furthermore, the secondary voltage under no-load conditions must not exceed 50V AC or 120V DC.
Safety isolating transformers are intended for use in low-voltage installations.
